Season 8 of Supernatural

Just gonna go ahead and warn you: Spoilers. And gratuitious fangirling. And gifs. And incoherency.

BAM! Awesome!

OMG I LOVED IT!!! Like from the very beginning...
Okay, that's not exactly true. i was watching the recap, right? And I reailized i was frowning in confusion thinking "Something's not right about this. What is it? It's not getting me all pumped and sentimental and doesn't match or something... Wait. Why the fuck aren't they playing 'Carry On My Wayward Son'? WTF" That was the only thing that REALLY bugged me. Did not like the new song choice. At all.

Minor detail to the overall though (even if i still hope they fix that).
I was going to live tweet during the show? Yeah, that didn't happen, becuase there weren't oppurtunities between all the awesome scenes or moments where I was like "OH SHIT JUST GOT REAL!!" or that moment at the beginning where Dean made my jaw hit the floor because I was going "OH have mercy he looks good, dear sweet merry christmas.

Purgatory did him some good or something." DEM JEANS and DEM LEGS (God, they're so long!) yum....... Yeah, Dean crossed the road and my reaction was:

Then Dean and Sam reunited and I had warm fuzzies and squees and then sadness when Dean was talking about Cas and his voice cracked. Then Dean and Sam are arguing and Dean is asking about if Sam even searched for Dean at all and he hadn't and I was all:

Followed by my feels for poor Dean that his own brother didn't even attempt to look for him even if he knew it wouldn't amount to anything:

Then OMG KEVIN!! He's adorable! But yeah no, I was sharing Dean's grumpy face at Sam when listening to the phone messages. DAMMIT SAM, WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?! not looking for Dean, I can kind of understand as you had no allies and absolutely no clues, that's a weak excuse, but I can go with it, but KEVIN?! You FUCKING KNEW he was alive and dependent on YOU or fucking SOMEONE to help him! Where's Missouri when you need her to smack one of the boys upside the back of the head? APPROPRIATE.

God, and Kevin. Kevin is Hermione, you guys. Seriously. He is. "There's a demon inside you and you're going to your safety school." Priorities! My boy HAS THEM! I love these people so freaking much.

And Crowley. Come, come, let me hug you. You're both awesome. I already know what I would get Crowley for Christmas. A goat plushie. Yes. Totally worth the consequences.

And then Dean is in Purgatory and every monster he comes across, it follows the same routine, kick their ass, pin them, demand "Where's the angel?", then decapitate them when they prove no longer useful. Priorities. Dean has them. They revolve around a certain angel. It was really sweet.

So he basically just said: "I'm not leaving Purgatory without the angel. Period. He comes or I stay."

And then we get to the end of the episode and by then i love all the character more than I did to begin with, even Benny. Okay, well, I don't *love* Benny, still don't trust him enough to not be wary, even though I think Dean's going to end up having to kill him, but i think we'll like him a lot more by the time we get to that point, to make us as torn as Dean will be. Don't want to have to, but there's no other way. But yeah, by the end of the epsiode I was all:

And then when thinking about what the rest of the season is going to be like if it's anything like the first episode:

Needless to say, I think Season Eight is going to be AMAZING. Like what it use to be. Before She Who Shall Not Be Named. I'm very exicted. Like bouncing in my seat because Gabriel gave me sugar kind of excited.

What about ya'll? princess_aleera had a friend on her FL that actually hated the episode (the blasphemer) so I'm curious as to your take. lol I promise you can have your own opinion without any negative backlash, even if i don't agree. Opinions and discussions welcome, rudeness to other LJers not tolerated.

I absolutely loved it. I am still super emotional and psyched about it. I CANNOT WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK AND EVERY WEEK AFTER.

ALSO I HAVE THEORIES. I FOUND THEM ON TUMBLR BUT NOW THEY'RE IN MY HEAD AND I CAN'T GET THEM OUT AND THEY'RE ABOUT CAS AND I NEED HIM BACK NOW.

She Who Shall Not Be Named is She Who Shall Not Be Named thus her name. lol No, Sera Gamble. The reason for Season Six being what it was. She was asked to step down because fans were so mad. They kept her for Season seven but they were getting rid of her already, someone else was trying to clean up her mess.


AH! Don't tell me theories! I have my own and already anticipate disappointment and bittersweet feels. All I ask is for Destiel, that's not too much is it? IS IT?!

Kid you not, same reactions, well except I would really love to get Sam in a room alone and 'talk', I can't even think. It makes me heart hurt. I don't like him at all this season.

And I am right there with you, Jensen/Dean is looking fantastic this season.

Meh. I'm disappointed in Sam, but I still love him. I think he gave up way too easy, but you know, anytime they've tried to save the other before in the past, it ended with one of them in hell and subsequently needing to be saved. Granted, I personally would love to have sessions with the boys. Dean with Cas. Dean with Sam. Each of them on their own. "Here, have a seat. We need to talk, so let's chat. Would you prefer coffee or tea?"
