Okay, so for those of you that read The path We Choose, I'm writing a one shot involving Becky and Savvy and them getting into a relationship, and I'm really kinda worried about offending those of you one here that I know sexuality is a sensitive subject. No one is homophobic in the story, no, but Savvy wasn't gay before she met Becky. Think Willow Rosenberg from Buffy before she met Tara. So Savvy is trying very hard not to freak out, but she has NO IDEA what she's gotten herself into and is just really, really struggling between moving in the relationship at a rate she's comfortable with and not knowing what she's comfortable with because she's way out of her element. And this is my first, and probably only, fem!slash fic and I'm not a lesbian so it's actually REALLY hard to write. I like regular slash way too much this is just really foreign to me.

So if you do read it, please don't be offended if I'm terribly inaccurate or if you think her reaction is unrealistic or something. This really kinda started as a writing exercise, but I don't want my inability to properly portray what I mean in my head onto paper to offend anyone. I would never, ever do anything like that. And if you read it after this post, you may look and me and wonder what I was making such a big deal over, and that's fine, I think I'm just more worried because of how hard of a time I am having with writing it. But that it's written from Savvy's POV, and she and I have about as much experience with having a relationship with someone of the same gender, which is to say absolutely no experience,  I think I may be doing okay portraying her struggles.

Just wanted to give you the heads up, and after I do post it in a few days, I would love feedback if you do read it.

Secondly: If you are either a Batman fan (which everyone SHOULD be) or a Supernatural fan (which everyone should ALSO be), then you need to watch:

Starring Jensen Ackles (actor that plays Dean Winchester in Supernatural), Neil Patrick Harris, and an excellent all star cast. I was leery about getting this originally because One, they changed the look of the Joker, followed by Two, he is not voiced by Mark Hamill. My favorite villain and they've threw me a curve ball. That alone was enough to make me VERY cautious. You don't mess with my pplz. lol

So I researched. lol I asked around, looked it up, read reviews, etc. Heard all good things, making me lean toward 'Okay, I might take a chance.' and only just learned Jensen Ackles was in it the day I went to go buy it, when I was looking at it. Jensen Ackles sealed the deal.

Don't be worried. It's EXCELLENT. I give it 8.5/10. I liked it so much so, I tweeted Jensen's wife asking her to tell him he was great (He doesn't have a twitter. He's technologically challenged. Poor thing.) It was just amazing. I loved it. Jason is very likeable even while depraved and broken. I laughed, I cheered, I freaked out, I hurt for characters, I cackled like a freaking maniac. I loved it. This and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker are tied for favorite for the animated movies. Mask of the Fantasm is also high ranking. You'll notice a pattern though, Joker is in all of them. Love him.

Fifty Shades of Grey outstrips Harry Potter to become the fastest selling paperback of all time
I kid you not. Read it here. Granted, I would like to start by saying that I have not, nor will I ever read these books. They are PWP, I find that trashy and reflective of a lack of creativity to write a great book without smut. It's a challenge authors should rise up to meet, rather than contributing to the decline of morality and quality of literature.

That also being said, yes, I have read and did like Twilight. Guilty pleasures, we all have them. Twilight made me laugh and giggle and grin, the first book probably my favorite. You may see this as a complete contradiction, but cie la vie. I also completely love Harry Potter and am saddened by the fact that it had to hand over it's title to published fanfiction.

And it's being made into a movie.

Not to mention, insult to injury: "Publishers are now rushing to bring out more similar erotic fiction – including Jane Eyre Laid Bare, an explicit rewrite of Charlotte Bronte’s novel."

I. Kid. You. Not.

I have so much RAEG face right now.
Am I the only one that feels like they just heard someone insult a very dear friend and now has full rights to right hook the offending party in order to defend their friend's honor?

Even more insult to injury? This garbage is published and selling like hot cakes. I'm still trying to get an agent when I know (and no, this is not me being prideful or arrogant) that my writing is much better. Smut free, too. Ugh, just when I thought I couldn't lose anymore faith in humanity.
